The role

As a Participant Recruitment Specialist at Prolific, you'll play a pivotal role in expanding our participant pool to meet the evolving needs of AI research and development. You'll focus on identifying and attracting new participants, especially those with niche expertise or from specialized demographics crucial for AI training and evaluation tasks. This project-based role requires adaptability and the ability to juggle multiple recruitment initiatives simultaneously, as you'll be supporting a wide range of AI-focused studies and tasks.

What you’ll bring to the role

Experience in recruitment or outreach, preferably in tech, AI, or research-related fields.
Strong understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, and the types of participants needed for various AI tasks (e.g., data annotation, model evaluation, AI alignment studies)
Ability to multitask and manage multiple recruitment projects concurrently
Excellent project management skills with a track record of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong understanding of diverse demographic groups and how to effectively reach them
Proficiency in using social media, professional networks, and industry-specific channels for targeted recruitment
Innovative mindset for developing creative recruitment strategies for hard-to-reach demographics
Understanding of ethical considerations in AI development and human-subject research
Experience with outreach campaigns and community building

What you’ll be doing in the role

Respond to Client Requests: Work closely with the sales team to understand specific AI project requirements and participant needs for each client request.
Assess Participant Gaps: Quickly analyze our existing participant database to identify gaps between current availability and client requirements, focusing on AI-specific demographics or expertise.
Execute Targeted Recruitment Campaigns: Develop and implement rapid, targeted recruitment strategies to fill identified gaps for AI-focused studies.
Manage Multiple Recruitment Projects: Juggle various ongoing recruitment initiatives simultaneously, prioritizing based on client deadlines and project urgency.
Collaborate with Sales Team: Serve as the primary point of contact for the sales team, providing timely updates on recruitment progress and participating in client calls when necessary to discuss participant sourcing strategies.
Inform Strategic Recruitment: Work with the marketing team to develop long-term recruitment strategies that anticipate future AI research needs and expand our pool of AI-relevant participants.
Adapt to Evolving AI Market Demands: Stay informed about trends in AI research and development, adjusting recruitment approaches to meet changing client needs in the fast-paced AI industry.
