The Sr Director, Cyber Defense’s primary role is to lead the Cyber Defense Organization with areas of focus to include SOC L1-L3, Incident management, Forensics, Defense Engineering and Cyber Threat Intelligence. This role will lead the transformation of the current organization and outlined need for change to existing ways of working.
Key focus areas of experience needed to transform defense:
- Implement interaction model and concept of cyber operations
- Reassess SOC skills for modernization to leverage modern automation capabilities
- Leading large partnership who are part of the defense framework
- Lead the shift into Threat Intelligence capabilities and drive SOC strategy
- Continue to drive a world class cyber forensic organization and shift the dependence on partners
- Structure and mature the defense engineering and automation capabilities to enable next generation AI decision making
- Evolve ISRM’s relationship with the business promoting awareness, insights and opportunities to improve the company’s risk position
Responsibilities:
- Lead the transformation of the current response organization to industry leading defense capabilities and services. This will include aligning critical long term global partners, creating our CTI capability and maturing it to be the critical source of prioritization and reskilling the Defense organization to deliver on the protection levels needed in today’s threat landscape.
- Work with Product and Service Owners, BIS teams and ISRM LT to drive insight on the threat landscape and measurable actions to reduce exposure through this insight. Partner with JJT and Business leadership to educate them in ongoing threats to the company and provide clear strategic plan of action to reduce the risk for J&J
- Create and evolve organizational operations playbook with increasing efficiency and a defined roadmap to future improved service delivery.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
- 15+ years’ experience in a security defense leadership
- A minimum of 10 years of cyber intelligence experience and industry leading frameworks
- Experience leading and managing complex security programs and defining industry standards.
- Experience with government agencies and authorized for handling of confidential material
- Excellent executive intelligence writing and briefing skills.
- Published work on industry knowledge and collaboration with peers on industry frameworks or methodology

The base pay range for this position is $163,000 - $282,900
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
