Your Role

As a member of our Video Editing team, you will be at the core of our visual storytelling efforts. You will produce videos that make a significant impact, from engaging TikTok videos and Instagram Reels to captivating YouTube Shorts. You are not just an editor but a trendsetter, a storyteller, and a digital artist.

In this role, you will be working on The Gay Intern, a digital marketing podcast catering to a Gen Z audience, including the LGBTQ+ community. This podcast explores social media and the modern landscape of digital marketing, giving you a unique opportunity to create content that resonates with a diverse, young audience passionate about the future of digital trends.

What You’ll Be Working On

Short-Form Vertical Social Media Video Content: This is our bread and butter. We want someone with experience in viral “talking head” videos and podcast clips. Each video you create will need:

• Hook: Utilizing visual, auditory, and clever techniques to grab attention immediately.
• Story Flow: Crafting a seamless narrative that keeps viewers engaged.
• Keyframing: Tasteful use of zoom-ins/outs, crop-ins, and motion tracking of movement.
• Green Screen: Bringing our clients’ stories to the front of the screen creatively.
• Memes: Incorporating up-to-date trending memes.
• Music and Sound Effects: Using trending music and ensuring it fits the video narrative.
• Aesthetic: Ensuring high-resolution assets, clean fonts, and tasteful stock footage where needed.

What We Need from You

• Expertise in creating short-form video content.
• A deep understanding of TikTok trends and the broader social media landscape.
• Advanced proficiency in After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, and CapCut.
• An eye for detail and creativity in storytelling.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Availability to handle a high volume of content on a flexible schedule.
