Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Software Developer to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Design, develop, and deploy cloud-based applications using AWS services.
  • Implement and manage serverless architectures using AWS Lambda.
  • Configure and manage Application Load Balancers and API Gateway for scalable and secure application delivery.
  • Develop and manage containerized applications using AWS ECS and Docker.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in TypeScript.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Extensive experience with AWS Lambda for serverless computing.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing Application Load Balancers.
  • Strong knowledge of API Gateway for creating, deploying, and managing APIs.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS ECS (Elastic Container Service) and Docker for container orchestration.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript for application development.
  • Solid understanding of AWS developer tools and services, including but not limited to AWS CloudFormation, AWS CodePipeline, AWS CodeBuild, and AWS CodeDeploy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a cloud environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.


What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline builds and automation.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as AWS CloudWatch, ELK Stack, or Prometheus.
  • Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and compliance.
  • Experience with other programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
  • Understanding of microservices architecture and best practices.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Salary Range: 

$117,000.00 - $210,600.00
