Job description

Introduction to Search for Common Ground
Search for Common Ground (“Search”) is the world's largest dedicated peacebuilding organization.  Founded in 1982, Search has a 40-year track record of transforming the way the world deals with conflict, away from adversarial approaches and toward cooperative solutions. Search does this  through a type of peacebuilding called “conflict transformation.” It shifts everyday interactions  between hostile groups of people, so they can work together to build up their community, choosing  joint problem-solving over violent means.

Search works to prevent and end violent conflict before, during, and after a crisis, striving to build  sustainable peace for generations to come. With a total of approximately 700 staƯ worldwide,  Search implements projects in 35 countries. Search's headquarters are in Washington, D.C., and  Brussels. For general information on Search, visit our website at https://www.sfcg.org.
Search is a trusted 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in the United States and an international non profit organization (AISBL) registered in Belgium. We receive funding from a variety of sources,  including:

Foundations and non-profits: SFCG has received funding from over 65 foundations and  non-profit organizations.
Governments: SFCG has received funding from 14 governments.
Multilateral institutions: SFCG has received funding from 15 multilateral institutions.
UN Multi-Partner Trust Fund OƯice: SFCG participates in pooled funds that bring together  UN entities and public and private sector partners.
Donations: Individuals can donate to SFCG through direct bank withdrawal, donor-advised  funds, employer match, or wire transfer.

Per Charity Navigator, the "Search for Common Ground" organization has a program expense  ratio of approximately 91.8% which means that a large majority of their expenses are directly  dedicated to their programs, indicating a high level of eƯiciency in utilizing funds for their stated  mission.
We strive to work with partners that embrace our mission and can join us in keeping our expenses  as low as possible to ensure we are able to help as many people as possible across the globe.
