The AVP, Digital Marketing will directly own, optimize, and provide strategic direction for B2C direct sales website and B2B2C digital strategies. This role will be responsible for developing and executing the company's E-commerce strategy to drive revenue growth and enhance the overall customer experience. You will lead a dedicated team of digital marketers and collaborate closely to optimize our omni channel marketing strategies to increase revenue and maximize profitability.

 

This will be a data, KPI and process-oriented individual with experience managing internal digital marketing teams, outside consultants, and agencies. Part analyst, strategist, and manager, the ideal candidate will have prior experience driving results through a methodical approach that relies on best practices for optimizing organic and paid user traffic, improving conversion rates, driving sales, optimizing site search, methodically improving UX, and creating a highly effective customer journey. They will understand both the marketing and technical aspects of e-commerce and digital marketing including SEO, paid search, social media and email marketing. They will bring analytical capabilities to isolate issues and opportunities to drive growth and track the impact of changes. The candidate will have experience managing P&Ls including expense, revenue, ROAS, ROI and profit goals.

 

This role reports to the VP, Marketing.

Job Description:

What you will do:

  • Provide strong, effective, and highly engaged leadership to the digital team, ensuring that all resources are motivated to contribute fully to the company's vision and goals - to drive key business metrics.
  • Develop and execute a cohesive, omni channel digital marketing strategy to increase sales in our e-commerce direct to consumer channel.
  • Oversee the operation, optimization, and analytics of our B2C e-commerce website as well as our B2BC E-commerce platforms, ensuring seamless functionality, user experience, customer/client satisfaction and driving revenue.
  • Oversee all aspect of digital marketing including SEO, SEM, Paid search, affiliate, display, re-targeting, social media, video, email marketing and content marketing.
  • Collaborate with product management, sales, and marketing teams to develop and execute product strategies that support sales goals and optimize online sales performance.
  • Analyze E-commerce performance metrics and customer data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for website improvement.
  • Set a team strategy through analysis of historical marketing data and testing to measure continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for Direct-to-Consumer P&L including revenue and expense targets.
  • Support the corporate brand guidelines and company strategic priorities across the E-commerce platforms.
  • Mentorship and talent development: Coach team members to build skills in digital marketing, data analytics, and e-commerce strategies.
  • Customer journey optimization: Lead efforts to improve the online customer experience by analyzing drop-off points, user feedback, and performance metrics.
  • Innovation and trend analysis: Keep the team informed on emerging digital marketing trends, customer behaviors, and new technologies, recommending or leading initiatives that maintain a competitive edge in coordination with Customer Insights team.
  • Collaborate on digital transformation: Work with cross-functional teams (IT, product, and customer service) to ensure alignment on e-commerce and digital priorities.
  • Communicate regularly with the leadership to provide updates and reporting on E-commerce performance, initiatives, and strategic recommendations.
  • Provide strategic leadership for online marketing – building effective teams through hiring and training as we build a robust direct to consumer channel.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required
  • 10 years of experience in a Senior level Marketing role growing direct to consumer e-commerce business is required
  • 10 years of experience in the following areas: organic and paid search, site design, SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media, customer journey optimization, nurturing tactics is required
  • Previous experience managing a P&L is required
  • Previous experience managing others, including Senior level roles, is required
  • Intermediate proficiency level of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams is required
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce or relative CRM systems is preferred
  • Experience in the Insurance and/or Travel Industry is preferred

The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $91,000.00 to a maximum of $171,100.00. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee’s contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
