Job description

Genesis10 is seeking a C++ Senior Developer for a remote contract position with a leading client located in Pittsburgh, PA.

Job Description:

Looking for a C++ developer software engineer who writes, deploys, and manages applications using the C++ programming language with the Toshiba product. C++ is a general-purpose language used for a variety of applications, including game development and system software.
Job Duties:

Develops device drivers for Toshiba POS hardware and peripherals. These drivers are used by customers on Windows, Linux, and DOS platforms.
Collaborates with internal and external teams to facilitate development, testing, sales, and more. They also perform code reviews for junior engineers.
Writing clean, efficient C++ code to implement features and functionalities according to design specifications.
Developing and optimizing algorithms to solve complex computational problems, considering time and space complexity.
Profiling and improving the performance of C++ applications by identifying bottlenecks and implementing optimizations.
Contributing to the design and architecture of software systems, considering scalability and maintainability.
Writing thorough unit tests to ensure code quality and stability
Identifying and resolving issues within the codebase, using debugging tools effectively

Requirements:

Experience with 4690 OS (POS operating system)
Deep understanding of C++ syntax, object-oriented programming principles, memory management, and standard template library (STL)
Strong knowledge of common data structures (arrays, linked lists, trees, graphs) and algorithms (sorting, searching, dynamic programming)
Familiarity with design patterns to create maintainable and flexible code
Experience with Git or similar version control systems to manage code changes
Ability to adapt code for different operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS)
