Vice President Mergers & Acquisitions Advisory Practice
Our M&A Advisory practice assists middle-market companies and is differentiated by industry expertise and superior deal execution. Within this, the Consumer & Retail investment banking team is focused on working with middle-market companies and investors on mergers, acquisitions and capital raises. Our strength stems from our deep domain expertise across key sub-sectors of the Consumer & Retail landscape, our extensive transaction experience, our tenured relationships with strategic buyers and private equity firms, and our global reach.
Our professionals balance analytical and deal execution skills, market insight and relationships with key decision makers to deliver outstanding transaction outcomes to our clients. As an organization, we think globally, and the Consumer & Retail team operates seamlessly together from offices in London, Munich, Frankfurt, Los Angeles, New York and Toronto.
Day To Day Responsibilities
Work on and manage delivery on a variety of sell-side, buy-side and fundraising transactions in all stages, from initial client pitches to transaction closing
Ensure quality of client deliverables by having a strong attention to detail
Communicate regulatory, financial information and complex strategic issues in a clear, concise and relevant manner to assist and guide decisionmakers in corporate finance transactions
Mentor and develop staff – associates and analysts
Ability to market services both to internal partners and external clients, develop client networks, and support efforts in developing and executing sales and marketing strategies
Individuals will be assigned a wide variety of projects and given as much responsibility as their experience and capabilities permit
Essential Traits
Minimum of 7 years’ experience at a bulge bracket, reputable boutique, corporate finance advisory firm or Big Four with demonstrable M&A execution experience
Domain expertise across key sub-sectors of the Consumer & Retail landscape
Demonstrated experience with managing day to day aspects of client relationships, transactions and projects
Strong desire to be involved in originating work within the Consumer sector and networking to help build on the firm’s strong sector franchise in Europe
Ability to make effective decisions by analysing information and considering priorities
Dedication to teamwork, demonstrated leadership potential and strong personal integrit
Ability to prioritise tasks, work on multiple assignments and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment
Demonstrated track record of superior academic and career performance; demonstrated commitment to outstanding results
Flexibility to travel, as needed
