The Role
The role of the Director of Business Development for Channel sales is responsible for opening up new channel partners including CRO’s, SMO’s, or vendors requiring our platform and services. The individual is also responsible for expanding and growing business at existing channel accounts. The individual will be responsible for the full sales cycles (prospecting - close) with support from Sales Development. The role requires excellent interpersonal skills, a “hunter” mentality, proficiency in the use of sales systems to support prospecting, an enthusiastic and tenacious personality, and the ability to effectively articulate complex solutions including both software and professional services to a diverse range of stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Meets assigned targets for gross sales goals, pipeline creation, profitable sales volume, market share, and other key financial performance objectives.
- Conduct market research to identify patient recruitment opportunities (software & services) within the assigned accounts.
- Identify potential customers through research, conferences, and industry networking.
- Initiate contact with key decision-makers at channel companies to generate new business leads.
- Develop, deploy, and maintain strategic account plans for assigned accounts that delineate goals and growth strategies.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, enduring relationships with clients.
- Ensure high client satisfaction through effective communication, understanding client needs, and delivering relevant patient recruitment and platform solutions.
- Collaborate with the other departments including Sales Development and Sales Operations to convert leads into proposals with the support of the Trial Strategy, Proposal Writer, Operations and Pricing and Contracts team.
- Organise and coordinate both internally and externally client meetings to present the proposed strategy.
- Negotiate agreements and contracts to secure profitable business.
- Learn and understand Trialbee solutions, pricing, and differentiators and stay current as new features and value are added.
- Remain current on industry and specialty topics as needed to perform duties at the highest possible level.
- Provide weekly status reports and forecast updates using SalesForce.
- Contribute towards strategic initiatives that will benefit the sales team

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Enthusiastic, energetic and tenacious personality.
- 5+ years of full sales role experience with a track record selling software, clinical or patient recruitment solutions managing channel sales and large strategic accounts
- Experience in clinical research and/or patient recruitment essential
- Ability to navigate complex situations in global companies with strategic planning and execution.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments during deal creation and post-contract execution to ensure awarded business is good business for Trialbee and will support repeat business.
- Established connections across the Life Science industry necessary.
- Experience in creating value-based meetings and proposals.
- Experience working in or desire to be part of a smaller company dynamic.
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Fluent in English, with additional languages seen as desirable
Education
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree preferably in science-related fields
