Job description

This position is a bank 0 -hour contract, with the opportunity to work up to 5 days a week.

Why Oviva?

To build a healthier future for all, our mission is to provide the most accessible and effective care to people living with weight-related conditions. Why?

Because everyone deserves their healthiest self.

By blending behavioural change therapy with our unique technology, incredible team of passionate individuals, and innovative company culture, we are creating affordable and accessible app-based healthcare programs to tackle diet-related health conditions such as obesity and type 2 Diabetes. Our proven strategy has helped us become the award-winning and largest digital health provider, treating diet-related conditions in Europe. We operate within the healthcare systems to give people access to the medical care they need. We are rapidly expanding across Europe including the UK, Switzerland, Germany, and France. You will be joining an organization that has treated 500.000 people to date and is continuing to scale up.

The Role:

Oviva is seeking a highly motivated and patient-centered General Practitioner with a strong interest in supporting individuals with obesity to join our Weight Management Services. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in our expanding team, with the potential to transition to a permanent position if the service continues to grow as anticipated.  You will be a member of the consultant-led weight management MDT, delivering medical assessments and treatment; this includes the prescription of novel injectable obesity treatments, including Wegovy. The role will involve in-house liaison with other medical and non-medical members of the MDT plus acting as a point of contact for our primary care colleagues.

Whilst prior experience in the prescription of GLP-1 receptor agonists (GLP1-RAs) is preferable, we will provide comprehensive training and ongoing supervision to ensure you develop the necessary competencies for safe and effective GLP1-RA prescribing and management. This includes training on clinical obesity management and the medications themselves. With success in this role, you could pursue further development opportunities within Oviva.

The role will report to the Medical Director.
