Job Summary

As a Senior Database Administrator (12745), you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient software applications. Your role will involve leading technical projects, mentoring junior engineers, and continuously improving software development practices to ensure the delivery of robust and reliable software systems.

Responsibilities and Duties

On a day-to-day basis, you will work closely with the operation teams to ensure that we deliver database needs continuously within production environments. There is plenty of growth across our teams and products, so there is a lot of variety in the role and a challenging mix of big-picture involvement and day-to-day delivery.
We believe in contributive delivery within our team and the ability to work on facilitating client needs in database operations and participating in broader design, process, and operational discussions in this role.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
Professional/ Advanced English skills.
4+ years' experience as a DBA in software engineering or production operations.
Experience in MSSQL database administration for service delivery and production Automation.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 (or greater).
Experience in Always On availability groups.
Experience in segmentation and replication of data.
Experience in domain governance.
Database Troubleshooting experience.
Experience reviewing database performance and resourcing.
Capacity to complete SQL statement syntax and performance review.
Experience with database management within a DevOps approach (especially in AWS cloud).
You will have strong technical aptitude/rapport and ability to:

Covey technical content in a clear, concise manner, using lenguage appropriate for the audience.
Understand and process technical information with ease.
Ability to work and contribute within a global technical team.

Additional Requirements

Technologies: SQL Server 2016 or more recent. Complex Stored Procedures, Always On, AWS, DevOps knowledge.
Familiarity with data modeling and schema design
Comfortable with source control systems
Ability to adjust to rapid changes in deadlines and priorities
Experience with any of the following is a plus:

Microsoft SQL Server 2016 (or more) and Database Administration.
Microsoft Certifications (SQL, DBA, etc.).
Relational databases and normalization.
Transactional replication.
Experience with Microsoft SQL SSRS reporting.
Experience with Microsoft SQL SSIS services.
Experience with Azure Fabric or Power Platform.
