Digital Diagnostics is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, operation, and optimization of our cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. This role is focused on ensuring the reliability, performance, and efficiency of systems supporting our AWS and GCP cloud environments. The DevOps Engineer will work closely with IT and Customer Experience teams to deliver solutions aligned with business requirements and industry best practices, emphasizing healthcare data integration and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain cloud infrastructure in AWS and GCP, adhering to best practices for reliability, performance, security, and cost efficiency.
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, enabling automated and repeatable deployments.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to support scalable, consistent, and version-controlled deployments.
- Monitor system performance metrics and optimize resources proactively to meet availability, performance, and scalability goals.
- Act as the primary point of contact for Mirth-related inquiries, providing debugging assistance for customer EHR integration issues and ensuring seamless data exchange.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement strategies to optimize cloud infrastructure costs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and contribute to postmortem reviews to enhance system reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish, document, and refine best practices for infrastructure management, deployment processes, and data integration workflows.
- Manage SSL certificates and other key infrastructure-level configurations to maintain secure and reliable operations.
- Contribute to initiatives that enhance system resilience, scalability, and operational efficiency.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
- 5+ years of experience managing public cloud infrastructure, primarily in AWS, with a strong focus on scalability and reliability.
- Hands-on experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines, especially with Azure DevOps.
- Demonstrated expertise with Terraform and other Infrastructure as Code tools for provisioning and managing cloud resources.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services, including IAM, EC2, EKS, VPC, DNS (Route 53), RDS, ALBs, and Lambda, with familiarity in GCP services.
- Familiarity with HL7 messaging and Mirth Connect, including experience in channel monitoring and debugging, is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to analyze and optimize cloud infrastructure costs effectively.
- Experience with system monitoring, logging, and alerting tools to ensure high availability and operational efficiency.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to address complex issues, including in on-call or escalated situations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
