Job Summary:

The Project Manager orchestrates the successful completion and integration of projects through planning, implementation and project close-out.  Throughout the project’s life cycle, the project manager keeps the project moving forward, focusing on task completion, risk mitigation, issue resolution, as well as keeping the project on scope, on budget, and on time.  The Project Manager will be expected to understand a dynamic environment and support the integration of a multi-project portfolio.  The Project Manager will be expected to apply a methodology to project management.

Position Responsibilities:

Develops and owns the project schedule, plans, and structure which identify and sequence the activities needed to successfully complete and integrate the project. Monitors the progress and makes adjustments to ensure the successful completion of the project.

Proactively identify, resolve and/or escalate issues that could impact project schedules.  Works collaboratively with Project Team and Leadership to remediate technical, operational or resource issues to maintain project schedule and budget.

Serves as the focal point for all project communications. Develops and executes communication and action plans to keep stakeholders, staff members and executives informed of project progress.

Schedules and conducts project leadership meetings, to include Steering Committee Meetings.  Summarizes and communicates project status, risks, key issues and related remediation plans. 

Participates in the development and monitoring of the project scope and key project deliverables based upon the approved project proposal.

Position Qualifications Required:

Required Experience:

3-5 years’ experience in project management work involving problem solving, decision making & critical thinking skills and ability to document process requirements.                              

Excellent analytical, written/verbal communication and organizational skills required.  Ability to work at a detail level and independently manage multiple large projects simultaneously.

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree required

Training / Certification / Licensure:

PMP Preferred

Six Sigma training preferred
