Job description

OLAPLEX, Inc. (Nasdaq: OLPX) is an innovative, science-enabled, technology-driven beauty company. We are founded on the principle of delivering effective, patent-protected and proven performance in the categories where we compete. We strive to empower our consumers to look as beautiful on the outside as they feel on the inside. We believe every person deserves to have healthy, beautiful hair, whether they are visiting a salon or caring for their hair at home.

OLAPLEX has been able to achieve phenomenal growth and we continuously seek exceptionally talented individuals who can support our innovation and creativity. Collaboration and flexibility are at the core of our commitment to each other and to the success of OLAPLEX.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Inventory Allocation Planner to join our dynamic team, focused on managing inventory for innovation products, samples, and branded swag. In this role, you will oversee the allocation and replenishment of our evolving portfolio of products, ensuring that the right products are available in the right quantities, at the right time, to support business objectives and customer needs. This role interacts with the Demand Planning, Sourcing, Sales, Marketing, and Logistics teams, and makes recommendations on DC to DC transfers, production requirements, and overall inventory strategies. We are looking for a detail-oriented problem solver, who will be able to multi-task independently, and leverage existing tools, as well as support overall process improvements.

  • Develop and execute allocation strategies to ensure optimal inventory levels for new products, samples, branded swag, and limited release kits
  • Analyze sales forecasts, historical trends, and product lifecycles to anticipate inventory needs and mitigate stockouts or overstock situations
  • Work closely with product development, marketing, sales, and demand planning teams to align on upcoming product launches, sample requests, and initial build strategies
  • Monitor days on hand metrics and report out any potential out of stocks in a proactive manner
  • Ensure alignment between demand forecasts and inventory plans, adjusting allocations based on real-time feedback from stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to optimize order quantities and manage lead times for swag and innovation products
  • Monitor and analyze inventory performance, including turnover rates, order fill rates, and stock-outs, and report findings to leadership
  • Utilize inventory management systems to track product availability and identify trends or issues requiring corrective actions
  • Develop and maintain inventory allocation reports for regular review, identifying opportunities for process improvements
  • Continuously assess and improve inventory management processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy in the allocation process
About You:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in inventory management, demand planning, or allocation planning, ideally within a consumer goods or innovation-driven industry
  • Experience managing inventory for promotional products, samples, or high-velocity product categories is highly desirable
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic decisions
  • Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities and deadlines
  • Knowledge of inventory management best practices, and supply chain optimization techniques
  • Experience with product lifecycle management and managing high-value or limited-edition items

We'd love to have you apply, even if you don't feel you meet every single requirement. What's most important to us is finding authentic and accountable people who feel connected to our mission and values, not just candidates who check off all the boxes. We are looking for someone who will bring all their expertise, learn, and grow with us.
