We invite a Front End Team Lead to join the VeliPlay product team.

Housed within the innovative umbrella of VeliTech, VeliPlay is our dedicated game development studio specialising in crafting exceptional crash games and more. We’re committed to delivering cutting-edge games that engage players with outstanding mechanics and envelop them in rich, immersive narratives.

In this role, you will: 

• Lead the team in developing the front-end part of our product to ensure high-quality outcomes that follow our company’s technical guidelines
• Act as the main technical contact for all front-end-related issues within the team
• Handle the technical tools and frameworks we use, and encourage the use of best practices in writing clean and efficient code
• Promote and put into practice up-to-date development methods such as continuous integration and delivery, working in pairs on coding, and testing each other’s code
• Help spread knowledge and be an active participant in our group, which focuses on front-end technologies
• Keep an eye on new trends in the industry to bring in new technologies that could improve our team’s work and our products
• Support hiring new team members, help keep skilled team members and assist the team manager in developing their abilities
• Keep the documentation of our code updated and work on improving the overall quality of our software
• Creating cross-browser casino games for desktop and mobile devices
• Participate in code review and task planning activities
• Collaborate closely with the team to identify and prioritize areas for enhancement
• Constantly improve end-user experience, optimizing product performance
• Improve observability systems to measure and enhance user experience

Skills and experience you will need:

• At least 7 years of experience in JavaScript, including advanced topics like ES6 features, closures, and asynchronous programming
• Experience in game development is a must
• Strong background in frontend frameworks, especially React
• Experience with Pixi.js
• Good skills in HTML/CSS, focusing on designing responsive websites that work well across different browsers and are accessible to all users
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Frontend Team Lead, guiding developers in an international and diverse setting.
• Understanding of Agile methods (like Scrum) and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of backend technologies, especially Node.js, to support the development of complete solutions.
• At least 3 years of experience with AWS services (ec2, alb, ecs, s3, cloudfront) 
• Hands-on experience in creating CI pipelines using GitlabCI and docker; 
• Experience in performance optimization for web applications;
• Experience with Strapi or other cms; 
• Experience in designing REST APIs, using micro frontends, implementing Docker for containerization, and working with public cloud platforms.
• Solid understanding of webpack and familiarity with architectural patterns such as SOLID and FSD.
• Excellent skills in communication, leading a team, and building relationships.
• Proven ability to implement changes and achieve set goals.
• Being familiar with AI tools for rapid development is considered an asset

Will be a plus: 

• Experience with React Pixi
• Experience with animation integration (Spine or similar)
• Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, and modern architectural patterns
• Implement visual features, particle effects, and animations
