Job Description:

General Dynamics Global Force (GDGF) is looking to solve United States Special Operations Command’s (USSOCOM) most complex challenges through the pursuit of the future Special Operations Forces Global Logistics Support Services (SOF GLSS) contract. SOF GLSS is the primary means of acquiring, designing, manufacturing and distributing SOF-peculiar equipment, globally. SOF GLSS is currently a large, enterprise contract primarily based out of various locations in Kentucky, Florida, and other CONUS and OCONUS locations.

The Aviation Task Order lead manages and directs all aspects of the program’s task order-based aviation requirements in various locations in Kentucky, Florida, and other CONUS and OCONUS locations.

HOW A VICE PRESIDENT, PROGRAM WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Direct and manages integration of SOF peculiar equipment for fixed and rotary wing requirements
  • Oversees engineering design activities for developing and developed systems
  • Supports USASOC and PEO Rotary Wing with integration requirements
  • Manages all maintenance operations occurring at locations in Florida and Kentucky
  • Direct IT systems operations and maintenance, including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools
  • Oversee Facility Maintenance and operations (interaction with State and Federal Government entities)
  • Lead union relations
  • Direct all phases of the numerous task order from inception through completion
  • Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of the program
  • Participate in the negotiation of contract and contract changes
  • Coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Required Experience: 15+ years of project management and experience with the administration of various contract types, including cost-type and firm-fixed-price
  • Required Technical Skills: Excellent critical thinking judgement and decision-making skills & excellent communication skills, including with technical AND non-technical individuals
  • Security Clearance Level: Active Top Secret required to start
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Experience leading a specialized staff of at least 800 full-time employees, including subcontractors and vendors. Demonstrated leadership and managerial skills. Experience managing and motivating multi-functional, geographically dispersed teams. Experience coordinating limited resources across multiple projects
  • Required Certifications: Program management and/or lifecycle logistics certifications
  • Location: This position will allow for remote work to start. Upon award, this role will require working fulltime in Lexington, KY.

The likely salary range for this position is $204,000 - $276,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
