The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to lead our software technology sales teams focused on the public safety sector. As a Sales Manager, you will be pivotal in driving sales growth, managing a high-performing team, and expanding our customer base within the public safety industry.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve or exceed sales targets, revenue goals, and market penetration within the public safety sector.
  • Manage and lead a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to maximize their performance and ensure the achievement of individual and team objectives.
  • Identify and target key decision-makers within law enforcement agencies, emergency services, and public safety organizations, cultivating strong relationships and generating new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product development, marketing, and customer support teams to align sales strategies with overall business objectives and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular sales forecasting, analysis, and reporting to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and make informed decisions to optimize sales strategies and processes.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities, leveraging this knowledge to identify new business opportunities, differentiate our offerings, and refine sales approaches.
  • Represent the company as a thought leader in public safety technology, actively participating in industry events, conferences, and forums.
  • Drive a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the sales team, fostering a positive, high-performance work environment.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of the public safety sector, including law enforcement, emergency services, and related workflows and processes (preferred).
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate sales professionals to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities, utilizing data-driven insights to guide decision-making and optimize sales strategies.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented, able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of government grant programs and funding processes for public safety agencies is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers, attend industry events and support sales activities.
