ROLE
The Senior Manager, Fusion Safety and Regulation will play a pivotal role in managing CATF’s international working group on fusion safety. This role involves overseeing CATF’s work in safety, regulatory, environmental, and non-proliferation aspects of fusion energy, as well as advancing public acceptance and stakeholder engagement efforts. The expert will contribute to the development of fusion energy policies, produce key deliverables for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) as well as for states. They will also provide input for safety and regulatory aspects at the international level.
Fusion energy is a cornerstone of the clean energy transition, offering unparalleled potential to provide a firm source of energy that can also contribute to the energy transition. CATF's international working group on fusion safety is a key initiative driving the development of harmonized safety and regulatory frameworks for fusion technologies. This role is critical for advancing CATF’s leadership in fusion energy, ensuring the timely delivery of impactful solutions that shape policies across NATO fusion nations and beyond.

This is a full-time, remote position flexible within the U.S. CATF offers an excellent benefits package and an annual salary range of $120,000-$160,000, depending on experience.
