Position Summary:

The Engineering Input Specialist performs data input and editing tasks for the Engineering Division. Experience with MS Word, MS Excel and data entry preferred but not required.  The position requires an individual to be prepared to learn new skills and responsibilities.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

Engineering Input Specialist is a full-time (40 hours per week), non-exempt/hourly position. Typical schedule is Monday through Friday 8am-5pm. Position can be remote.

 

Travel:
Travel will not be required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

The Engineering Input Specialist does not have supervisory responsibilities.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Specific Job Requirements:

  • Move poles to high-resolution imagery in new projects.
  • Identify strand in Google Streetview and replicate in 3-GIS.
  • Enter basic make ready information for pole features in 3-GIS.
  • Expand project boundaries for new projects as necessary.
  • Resolve existing data quality issues so they meet Sonic standards.
  • Handle daily internal ticketing system issues.
  • Fix DRCs (Design Rule Checks) in new projects.
