What you’ll achieve
As an Accounting & Finance Manager, you'll be accountable for the organization’s general ledger, related accounting and taxes practices, including (where centralized) payables, receivables, inventories, fixed assets, treasury processes and controlling overview. You'll provide day-to-day supervision (administrative and technical) with no limit to ensure the high quality of Statutory and Reporting outputs and a local control over accounting, tax, treasury and controlling issues, being the accountant responsible for singing the Company’s balance sheets.
Your main responsibilities:
Monthly, quarterly, and annual IFRS group closures and the local statutory books for our Brazilian legal entity.
Assures that accounting records are prepared and maintained in accordance with the organization’s accounting policies, chart of accounts and related accounting principles and practices, and that subordinate ledgers reconcile with the general ledger.
Prescribes methods of providing accounting data for various reports and statements where the need does not follow the normal content of accounts.
Interprets for all decentralized components of the accounting function, the organization’s general accounting systems and procedures, including those for accounts receivable and payroll.
Tax management: direct, indirect taxes, billing, and legal tax – local tax fulfillment.
Treasury management: bank approvals, operational, forecast cash flow and others related.
Controlling management: costs, revenues, expenses and investment controlling, reports, variation analysis (budget/forecast x actual), and others.
Direct maintenance of fixed asset records and related depreciation accounts; provides interpretative assistance as to the proper capitalization/expensing of outlays and grouping of fixed assets by class, as well as depreciation methodology.
Collaborates with management to develop schedules, procedures, and systems to enable the timely and informative accumulation, adjustment, and reporting of financial data.
Manages and motivates subordinate staff; reviews and assesses performance, builds employee capacity, supports their professional development, and enables employees to optimize their contribution to the department.
Develop, implement, and monitor cross-sectoral policies.
Development and implementation of process improvements in accounting and finance in terms of/in compliance of the safety and efficiency audit.
Participates in determining the proper accounting and finance treatment of complex or unusual transactions.
Analysis of various balance sheet and income statement items.
Processing of all necessary bookings and questions, as well as the routine reporting to authorities.
Responsible for the budgeting process in accordance with the company's strategy (budget, forecast and long-term reviews), and others.

Essential Requirements:
Active CRC.
Accounting degree.
Several years of professional experience in managing accounting.
Experience in managing treasury, and controlling overview.
Team management experience.
Fluency in Portuguese and English (written and verbal) is required.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Excel.
Strong knowledge of financial accounting and financial reporting standards (IFRS).
Strong leadership skills.
Extra Finance courses considered desirable.
