Your primary focus will be on creating scalable, secure, and performant solutions that enable our platform to grow and evolve. Collaborating closely with key engineering teams, you will establish technical standards and help resolve complex architectural challenges, ensuring that our platform remains robust and flexible. This role emphasizes deep technical execution, problem-solving, and influencing engineering decisions without formal management responsibilities.

What you will do

  • Define technical standards and architectural guidelines to ensure scalable, maintainable solutions
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to drive the execution of platform architecture initiatives
  • Provide technical leadership across platform-related projects, guiding teams in areas like scalability, security, and performance
  • Identify optimization opportunities and drive improvements in architecture and infrastructure
  • Engage in code reviews, system design discussions, and hands-on problem-solving to ensure the best technical outcomes
  • Collaborate on platform roadmaps, ensuring alignment with technical goals and business needs
  • Address technical debt and ensure the long-term sustainability of platform infrastructure
  • Assist in ensuring the platform meets industry standards and compliance requirements (e.g., FedRAMP, SOC 2)

How success is defined

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to clearly articulate complex technical concepts
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments
  • Passionate about working hands-on to solve tough technical problems and improve platform performance
  • Ability to translate business needs into scalable, secure technical solutions

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Extensive experience with large-scale data processing and platform architecture
  • Extensive experience developing large-scale solutions for Kubernetes or other containerized orchestration platforms.
  • In-depth understanding of technical requirements for standards like FedRAMP, FISMA, HITRUST, SOC 2
  • Demonstrated success in designing and scaling complex platform solutions
  • Experience with breaking down large, complex architectures into modular and phased implementations
  • Deep knowledge of cloud architecture and infrastructure (AWS and K8S preferred)

Base salary for the role is commensurate with experience and can range between $165,000 - 220,000 + annual bonus opportunity.
