Accountant

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant (CPA) to support the clients family office. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial expertise, project management experience, and a background in property development or construction. This role is perfect for a self-driven, autonomous problem solver who can manage both financial tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate records of investments, ensuring regular reporting is received.
• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
• Update accounts receivable and issue invoices.
• Update accounts payable, manage vendors, and perform reconciliations.
• Prepare bank and Balance Sheet reconciliations, including month-end required reports.
• Assist in processing balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements according to legal and company guidelines.
• Prepare payroll, including schedules, monthly or bi-weekly computations, deductions, and additions.
• Update financial data in databases, including the recording of accruals and prepayments, ensuring information is accurate and readily available for analysis and reporting.
• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly financial reports.
• Oversee and manage financial records for family investments, including property rental income and maintenance expenses.
• Assist in tax-related tasks, including data entry for tax returns and quarterly activity statements.
• Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings and other accounting projects as necessary.

Skills and Qualifications:

• REQUIRED - bachelor's degree in accounting
• REQUIRED Certified Public Accountant
• At least 3-5 years of proven experience as an Intermediate Accountant
• Strong financial and accounting knowledge; accounting qualifications highly preferred.
• Project management experience, particularly in property development, real estate, or construction, is highly desirable.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Familiarity with property maintenance and construction processes is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems autonomously, and conduct research.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
