Job Responsibilities:

The Director of Business, Data, and Information Architecture is responsible for advancing the overall mission and vision of ADA's Data Governance Center of Excellence (DGCOE) – working in a highly collaborative manner across other corporate functions, business partners, and data leaders. The person will be responsible for defining and executing the business, data and information architecture that supports the organization’s data strategy goals aligning to business strategy. The architecture strategy should help effective and efficient compliance with regulations and industry standards and ensuring business value and operational efficiency. This person will play a critical role in integrating data from new acquisitions. This is a full remote role.

Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Information Management, Computer Science, or related field 
  • A minimum of 10 years (or 14 in lieu of degree) of experience in/with business, data and information architecture including strategy, planning, analysis, and governance roles with demonstrated success in leading complex data infrastructure projects
  • Possess a broad background in different business sectors, with in-depth experience in at least one aspect of the business (marketing, supply chain, etc.)
  • Expert-level knowledge of business and data architecture frameworks, data modeling, and proficiency in enterprise data and analytics platforms and tools (e.g., cloud computing, data lakes, data warehouses)
  • Developing methods and techniques for modeling technologies from a business perspective
  • Strong understanding of data management key concepts such as data quality, protection, governance, lineage, and metadata management
  • Intermediate skills in SQL, Python, or other languages for data manipulation and analysis
  • Experience building executive level deliverables
  • Demonstrated ability to partner, influence and navigate all levels of a complex organization often without direct authority, with significant focus on building alignment
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Experience being a good liaison between the business and technology SMEs
  • Strong understanding of BI/ data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
  • Understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and data security best practices
  • Strong Leadership · Collaborative · Innovative and Forward Thinking
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Some evening/weekend work
  • Travel to ADA Chicago occasionally

Nice to Have:

  • Master’s degree

  • Knowledge of Non-Invasive Data Governance

  • Experience managing projects using Agile or a similar methodology

  • Experience with Salesforce

  • Working knowledge of Data Bricks, Snowflake, RedShift or other data warehouse platforms

  • TOGAF certification

  • Demonstrated skills and actual examples of models built using standard architecture frameworks
