As a Strategic Business Advisor based in the USA, you will be at the forefront of our mission to redefine marine operations and foster sustainable growth! Demonstrating Hempel's innovative products and services, you will partner with key stakeholders across the marine ecosystem - operators, charterers, including shipowners, port authorities, and regulatory bodies, to deliver strategic insights and solutions that optimize performance and minimize environmental impact.

Your role will be multifaceted, encompassing comprehensive assessment, strategic analysis, and tailored recommendations to empower our client in their journey towards decarbonization and operational excellence. By staying alongside of market trends, regulatory developments, and technological advancements, you will provide invaluable guidance and thought leadership that shape the future of the industry.

As a Strategic Business Advisor, you will be a key contributor, taking responsibility for a key strategic client in North America. This role focuses on developing and strengthening business relationships at all levels between our client and Hempel, ensuring effective collaboration. Responsibilities include implementing and launching hull performance training and providing sales support to empower our client to be successful.   The role also involves detailed market analysis to identify areas to grow and sell Hempel solutions.

  • Assessment: Conduct assessments of clients' business operations and objectives to gain insights into their unique challenges and opportunities in reducing carbon footprint
  • Opportunities Identification: Apply advanced analytical tools and market intelligence to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and growth opportunities for our clients
  • Strategic Recommendations: Develop specific, data-driven strategies and actionable recommendations to improve operational efficiency, profitability, and sustainability while aligning with decarbonization goals
  • Market Research: Stay ahead of industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements to deliver clients informed insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Client Experience: Cultivate strong client relationships through exceptional service delivery, thought leadership, and the dissemination of standard processes in decarbonization and sustainable business practices
  • Networking: Establish and nurture a robust network of industry influencers, decision-makers, and stakeholders to drive collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and business development opportunities

 

What do you need to be successful in this role?

  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in strategic advisory or consulting roles within the marine industry, demonstrating a deep understanding of industry dynamics and best practices.
  • Demonstrated expertise in closing multimillion-dollar customer deals is critical to excel in this position.
  • Experience in navigating regulatory landscapes and engaging in strategic lobbying efforts to advocate for industry interests is highly valued
  • College degree or completion of a Maritime school is a plus
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong eye for business and strategic approach, with the capacity to find opportunities, mitigate risks, and deliver solutions
  • Proficiency in English
