TITLE: MICM Concert and Production Coordinator REPORTS TO: MICM Director of Operations STATUS: Non-exempt Part Time, .03 FTE (5-15 hours per month) remote (April-May) Full Time, 1 FTE (June-July) LOCATION: Remote (April-May) Onsite - Madeline Island, WI (June-July)
Job Summary The MICM Concert and Production Coordinator supports the Director of Operations in maintaining the organization and execution of the seven-week summer chamber music program. In preparation for the summer, this position assists with program scheduling, working closely with the Artistic Director and Director of Operations. Housing and meals for the duration of employment on Madeline Island is provided.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Serves as stage manager for all performances. Communicates with Young Artists and Faculty to determine performance needs.
Manage, maintain, and update the master schedule of rehearsals, coachings, lessons, master classes, performances, and other performance related events.
Create individual schedules for faculty, students, and rooms.
Prepare and distribute scores and parts for students, including copying, printing, and binding.
Maintain music library, ensuring all borrowed parts, scores, and reference materials are returned.
Assist with weekly planning and scheduling, including coordinating staff schedules and resources.
Serve as backup for Director of Operations, as needed
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience: High school graduate or equivalent. 2 years related experience, preferably in a performing arts setting. Abilities: Proven ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing. Ability to drive; valid driver’s license preferred. Knowledge and Skills: Background in classical music and basic knowledge of repertoire preferred. Proficiency with web-based collaboration environments and Microsoft Office. Positive attitude and strong professionalism. A high level of organizational ability, attention to detail, and communication and writing skills as well as an ability to multitask and work effectively with a variety of constituents. Physical Demands Frequently working at a keyboard for up to 6 hours at a time. Frequent walking, stooping, and bending. Occasional lifting and carrying of up to 25 lbs.
