We are seeking a motivated and dynamic team player to join us as an Application Engineer for Plumbing, Mechanical and Industrial Products in the US. The successful candidate will leverage their experience, technical expertise, and customer service skills to enhance IPEX’s reputation as thermoplastic piping specialists among engineers, contractors, and code officials.
This is a 100% remote position covering the Midwest and Southeastern US, including Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and Missouri. Regular travel within these states is required, so residing in the Midwest or Southeastern US is preferred for easier travel.
Key Responsibilities:
Gain approval for IPEX products at the state and municipality levels.
Promote and educate design engineers on thermoplastic industrial, plumbing, and mechanical piping to become a trusted advisor in the industry.
Incorporate IPEX products into corporate and project specifications to help the U.S. sales force meet annual sales and growth objectives.
Train IPEX representatives and distributors, providing technical support on IPEX industrial, plumbing, and mechanical products.
Develop educational, training, and technical materials for industrial, plumbing, and mechanical products.
Promote thermoplastics and IPEX at industry trade shows and conventions to build brand awareness in new markets.
Collaborate closely with sales staff, innovation, marketing, research and development, engineering, and production teams.
Present and conduct training seminars for engineers, OEMs, distributors, contractors, and IPEX staff.
Create and update technical documentation for IPEX industrial, plumbing, and mechanical products.
Handle product complaints and coordinate analysis and response.
Requirements:
A degree in engineering
Min 2 years of experience in a relevant industry in technical sales.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information in simple terms.
Strong customer service focus with a positive attitude and a team-oriented outlook.
Ability to work independently with strong self-motivation skills.
Strong interpersonal and customer-focused skills.
Excellent presentation skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Tenacious with a strong will to succeed, even when faced with obstacles.
Ability to travel frequently overnight within the US to meet with customers (approximately 50%).
