We are currently launching a strategic transformation program that will have special focus on Data and AI as one of its streams, given we believe that Data and AI can uncover multiple opportunities for education, including both internal efficiencies and new product opportunities. 

Data and AI strategy analyst in Operations

The analyst will be responsible for supporting the development of Data and AI strategy for Sanoma Learning, as well as for supporting the execution of the strategy. This role involves analyzing opportunities for Data and AI, providing insights into Data and AI development progress, assisting in developing Data and AI competences in organization, and assisting on select projects/product development. The analyst will report to the Strategic Lead for Data and AI in Operations, and will work closely with Head of PMO and cross-functional teams, including product owners, project managers, finance, HR, platform specialists, and key leaders in Operations, to ensure that the Data and AI components of strategic transformation program are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

This role will be responsible for the following:

Analyzing opportunities for Data and AI:

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data from various sources to assess the impact potential of AI use cases, as well as their feasibility
  • Analyze specific use cases and create initial business cases / roadmaps for them
  • Review and analyze characteristics of existing data sources for the Data strategy creation
  • Assist in the development of project plans, timelines, and milestones, through collaboration with different domains
  • Generate presentation materials outlining the Data and AI strategy
  • Continuously identify areas for AI impact in the organisation, based on internal inputs (pain points / successful pilots in some markets) and external inputs (best practices / trends)

Providing insights into Data and AI development progress

  • Monitor strategy performance against established goals and benchmarks.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to strategy success.
  • Identify potential risks or issues in strategy execution and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate communication between different teams and ensure that information flows seamlessly across departments.
  • Generate regular reports and presentations for stakeholders, summarizing progress, risks, and opportunities.

Assisting in developing Data and AI competences in the organization

  • Support the development and execution of training and communication approaches 
  • Develop KPIs and regularly monitor level of Data and AI literacy
  • Assist HR in developing an approach for attracting tech talent 

Assisting on select projects/product development

  • Be part of the selected pilot teams to test AI use cases: analyze data, prepare and update business case, define and review product scope
  • Track impact of the initiatives and prepare presentation materials for reporting

A successful candidate will have the following:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Preferably 2-5 years of experience in program or project management, business analysis, or a related role.
  • Experience of working within Data and AI field, eg describing and prioritising analytics / AI initiatives, or structuring a data model, or implementing a specific AI use case
  • Experience of working in consulting environment.
  • Proven experience in analyzing data and providing actionable insights.
  • Experience working in large-scale transformation or change management programs is highly desirable.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
