Position Summary

The Vice President, Sales - Clinical Solutions ("The Vice President") leads the development of the team to grow the sales revenue expectations in alignment with fulfilling ECRI’s mission. The work includes optimizing sales processes, developing new consulting revenue opportunities, setting plans for high growth, and reporting and forecasting to ECRI leadership. The Vice President works in collaboration with entire sales leadership team/functions, business leaders, and ECRI leadership to exceed sales growth expectations.

Essential Functions

Responsible for revenue growth and client account retention for clinical consulting solutions in the US

Responsible for the development and implementation of sales execution plans in coordination with a marketing execution plan and working alongside ECRI Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)

Responsible for sales of the safety portfolio of products, services, and solutions

Motivates and coaches the team to exceed goals and objectives.

Development and management of key contacts and customers.

Works with the ECRI marketing department to develop comprehensive marketing plans that include but is not limited to pricing, messaging, exhibitions, events, and promotions.

Leverage sales resources and SMEs internally and externally to enable growth.

Works with the Medical Office and Global Product Managers to enhance the clinical and safety solution offering

Works collaboratively with sales leadership team, business line leaders, and ECRI leadership.

Works cross-functionally with all ECRI functions and as appropriate.

Coordination with CEC to review customer utilization, anticipating consumer needs, and improving customer satisfaction.

Partners and works with the head of strategy and development as needed.

Provides input into the portfolio and solutions development alongside the business line managers (upstream product development).

Provides detailed and accurate sales forecasting in alignment with achieving sales goals.

Works with Recruiters/HR to hire successful sales staff.

Qualifications

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

Minimum of 10 years’ experience and a successful track record of revenue growth in the area of counting in a clinical space

Proven work experience as a VP of Sales, Sales Director, or other senior sales role

Strong leadership, influence, communication, organization, and interpersonal skills

Understanding of sales process, metrics, and customer relationship management tools use

Highly skilled in fostering collaboration across team members and varying function employees

Ability to apply project/Lean management best practices.

Demonstrates strategic vision, business acumen, and creative thinking skills.

Exhibits excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Education

Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.

Computer Skills

Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 Suite of products (e.g., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Proficient with Customer Relationship Management Tools.

Certifications And Licenses

Desired/Preferred Certifications & Licenses:

  • Safety certifications, such as Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS), Associate - Infection Prevention and Control (a-IPC), Certified in Infection Control (CIC), and/or Long-Term Care Certification in Infection Prevention (LTC-CIP).
  • Medical and/or Nursing certifications/credentials, such as Registered Nurse (RN).

Position Compensation

The salary range for new employees in this position is $147,053.57 - $169,111.61, based on background, experience, and skills. In addition, new employees in this position are eligible for all of our benefit offerings, including, but not limited to, health and welfare benefits, 403(B) retirement savings, and paid time off (PTO), as well as variable compensation.

This position operates in a remote environment and requires the individual to remain in a stationary position, whether sitting or standing, before a desk or other fixed workspace, most of their workday. In addition, this position requires the individual to occasionally move about their workspace to access and inspect work-related materials, such as file cabinets with physical files and standard office equipment. This position requires the ability to operate standard office equipment, including, but not limited to, a laptop, keyboard, mouse, webcam, and phone, as well as effectively communicate information and ideas to a wide variety of audiences in written and oral form.
