Job purpose:

We’re looking for a skilled Art Director to join our dynamic agency team, bringing expertise across advertising, digital campaigns, video production, and print projects. As our Art Director, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping creative concepts, leading visual direction, and collaborating with both clients and internal teams to produce high-impact work. As the Art Director, you will be the visionary guiding the creative direction across various media to bring our clients’ brands to life. You’ll work closely with creative teams to ideate, execute, and refine advertising concepts that captivate audiences and meet business goals. Your strategic eye for design, coupled with hands-on skills in digital and print media, will ensure each project not only looks stunning but also resonates with the intended audience. 


Job details: 

  • Location: 100% Remote– Open to candidates based in Mexico, Colombia, and Costa Rica.
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Central America Time Zone).
  • Contract: Full-Time Professional Services Agreement.
  • Language Proficiency:
    • Spanish: Native.
    • English: Advanced (C1+ level in reading, writing, and conversation).
  • This is an exciting near-future opportunity with the potential to begin in January 2025. We are seeking highly skilled professionals eager to join our team and contribute to dynamic, remote, and collaborative projects.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead Art Direction: Define and guide the creative vision for each campaign, setting visual standards for a cohesive, compelling brand presence across digital, print, and video.
  • Concept Development and Ideation: Collaborate with copywriters, designers, and strategists to generate ideas and refine concepts that align with client objectives and engage target audiences.
  • Oversee Digital and Print Production: Direct digital assets, web graphics, social media visuals, and print materials, ensuring quality, consistency, and alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Video Production and Storyboarding: Lead video production efforts from concept to completion, developing storyboards, overseeing shoots, and collaborating with video editors to produce impactful visual content.
  • Client Collaboration and Presentation: Present creative concepts to clients, gather feedback, and make adjustments to ensure each project meets client expectations and strategic goals.
  • Secondary Responsibilities – Team Leadership and Creative Collaboration:
    • Team Mentorship and Guidance: Provide direction and mentorship to designers, fostering an environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, and continuous growth.
    • Quality Control and Brand Consistency: Oversee quality assurance across all deliverables, ensuring that all creative work is consistent, polished, and on-brand.
    • Project Management Support: Work with project managers to track timelines, coordinate resources, and manage project milestones to ensure timely and efficient delivery. 
    • Industry Trends and Innovation: Stay current with industry trends and new creative techniques to keep our work innovative and effective in a rapidly evolving advertising landscape.


Required Academic Background:


Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, or related field, or equivalent experience as a creative director in advertising agencies.


Required Skills and Experience:


  • 7+ years in a creative or art direction role within an advertising/ creative agency, used to its fast-paced setting and culture, and with a portfolio showcasing expertise in both digital, print media and video production.
  • Adobe Creative Suite Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects for creating digital, print, and video assets.
  • Video Production Experience: Strong understanding of video production, including storyboarding, directing, and collaborating on video edits.
  • Digital and Print Expertise: Demonstrated experience leading projects across social media, web, display ads, and print media, with a keen eye for detail and brand consistency.
  • Strategic and Creative Vision: Proven ability to conceptualize and execute creative campaigns that effectively communicate brand stories and achieve marketing goals.
  • Leadership and Team Collaboration: Experience guiding and mentoring creative teams, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Client-Focused Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas confidently and gather feedback constructively.
