Position Summary:
ITT Aerospace Controls headquartered in Valencia, Calif., is a premier supplier of highly engineered components and integrated solutions for mechanical and environmental control systems in the commercial aerospace and military markets. Essential Responsibilities:
- Ensure daily production requirements are achieved to meet customer expectation by planning and scheduling manufacturing considering material availability, capacities, manpower, and customer/forecasted requirements
- Data analysis and decision making to support raw material supply and finished goods demand.
- Creates production schedule and prioritizes work orders for production optimization
- Punctually addressing and resolving production issues to minimize delays in production.
- Coordinating production operations in unity with material, labor, and equipment availability.
- Recommending viable solutions to reduce production costs as well as improve production processes and product quality
- Effecting changes to production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met.
- Promptly informing the relevant departments of changes to production schedule.
- Virtual communication with Planning team in other locations on Transfer orders to meet customer requirements in a timely manner.
- Researching and identifying the root cause for past due sales orders and find solutions to avoid it in the future.
- Maintains the production schedule, performance metrics that align with companies’ goals and other reports as required.
- Follow-up as required with all teams to expedite flow of materials from receiving to shipping thru production to meet production schedule and customer expectation.
- Complete status reports for production progress, work in process, and raw material inventory.
- Interacts with Production management daily to resolve issues regarding manufacturing efficiencies or additional information as requested from, Product Management, Purchasing, Customer Service and Accounting
- Proactively works with Purchasing to eliminate materials shortages in time to meet customer delivery dates as well as safety stock levels as indicated by companies’ MRP.
- Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years experience in: Demand Planning, Materials Planning, Manufacturing Planning, Scheduling, Production Control and Supply Chain
- Advanced Excel skills A MUST
- Experience with SAP
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent problem solving and written/oral communication skills
- Organized and able to effectively evaluate and prioritize workload
- Ability to work multiple tasks and be flexible with added tasks and changes in direction
- APICs Certification preferred

The salary offered to a candidate is based several factors such as candidate experience and qualifications, location, as well as market and business considerations.
