Job Responsibilities:

1. Provides individual, group, conjoint or family psychotherapy and support services to children with severe emotional disturbance and their family.2. Conducts clinical assessments, develops diagnoses, and participates in developing person/family centered treatment plans with client families. Monitors client progress and coordinates appropriate mental health and other needed services.

3. Responsible for maintaining an electronic and paper chart which includes required documentation of services provided, progress notes, treatment plans, periodic reviews and client rights documents.

4. Participates in individual supervision and team meetings to review progress, identify barriers and develop strategies for better assisting families in reaching their goals.

5. Participate in utilization review committee meetings for the purpose of reviewing case records for contract compliancy, quality assurance, appropriateness of services and treatment progress.

6. Provides crisis intervention on an on-call rotation basis to help offset potential risk of self-harm or conditions which could lead to out of home placement.

7. Ensures that paperwork is maintained in accordance with Medicaid and DHHS as well as Easterseals MORC policies and procedures.

8. Responsible for ensuring all medically necessary services are authorized for all consumers.

9. Demonstrates knowledge of principles of trauma informed care.

10. Willingness to support and assist consumers with trauma related issues.

11. Ensures that all individuals served caseload have CAFAS/PECFAS completed quarterly.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Possess a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Social Work; AND Have an LMSW or LLMSW from the State of Michigan Department of Consumer and Industry Services. OR
  • Possess a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Cousneling; AND Have an LPC or LLPC from the State of Michigan Department of
  • Consumer and Industry Services.
  • Possess a valid motor vehicle operator or chauffeur's license, and auto insurance.
