Job Summary:
Typically, expect some professional experience in account management and/or sales. Applies the core principles of insurance to everyday situations and demonstrates the skills and knowledge to understand specific needs or requirements that may require an inventive approach. Typically, an individual contributor; works with rare guidance or supervision. Performs more advanced responsibilities and are primary points of contact for the clients they oversee. Develops coverage strategy and plan. Sr. Account Managers have their own accounts and likely work with more complex or demanding clients. Required to have the necessary insurance license(s).
The Sr. Account Manager will work directly with producers and clients servicing an existing book of business as well as handling new business accounts. Position will interact with a wide variety of aviation clientele ranging from corporate jet owners to private aircraft owners. Position will handle property, worker’s comp, auto, D&O, EPLI, and other coverages as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain a strong relationship with clients and underwriters in making decisions on account updates and coverages for accounts ranging from small to mid-size accounts with moderate complexities.
Advise and assist clients by explaining coverage options/exclusions, making coverage recommendations, requesting policy changes, handling premium collections, and answering questions and concerns of the client.
Work with the producer to review exposures and insurance programs for assigned clients, determine if carrier is the best fit for the client while considering coverage, protection, and cost.
Market, quote, and prepare the proposal for the client from both a risk management and insurance prospective to decide upon the best way to manage the customer’s risks.
Provide day-to-day service, anticipate customer’s needs, and respond to client and carrier issues/questions in a timely manner.
Handle initial reporting of claims and follow up to ensure that the claim is properly progressing, and customer’s needs are being met.
Monitor carrier activities to ensure fulfillment of their responsibilities to the customer (policy endorsements, claims, etc.)
Maintain client accounts on agency management system, document conversations, properly attach documents to EPIC, send confirmations to insured and adhere to established procedures. Maintain follow-up and suspense/activity system for outstanding orders and correspondence, follow up on overdue and suspense items.
Other Responsibilities Include:
Participate in seminars and other training for knowledge and skill development.
Provide backup in other areas as assigned.
Perform other duties and special projects at Management’s request.

Education/Experience:
5+ years of experience in Aviation, preferred.
Active Property and Casualty license.
Epic experience strongly preferred or other Agency Management System experience.
Communication, negotiation, and math skills using Excel, Word, and Outlook programs, required.
College degree preferred, High School diploma or equivalent, required.
