THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Actuarial Analyst position will support the Actuarial Team by assisting with essential actuarial functions and collaborating with teams such as Claims, Compliance, IT, and Underwriting. Under the guidance of the actuarial team, this individual will contribute to ensuring data quality and accuracy, perform data analysis using various techniques, support the pricing and filing process, assist in developing predictive models, and help communicate results to the business.

Remote/Hybrid

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Manipulate, analyze, and interpret large data sets; identify patterns and trends; review KPI metrics.
  • Ensure the completeness and accuracy of pricing models, including rate indications and actuarial analyses. Support the development of pricing recommendations for various lines of business.
  • Assist in the preparation of actuarial exhibits and documentation required for rate filings with regulatory authorities. Ensure all filings are accurate, compliant, and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Develop ad hoc analyses from start to finish: conceptualization, data gathering, analysis, presentation, and monitoring.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 actuarial exams passed.
  • 1 – 3 years Commercial line insurance experience and in pricing preferred.
  • Excellent communication and mathematical skills.
  • Strong programming skills, including Microsoft Excel/Access, R, SQL, Python or related
