Job description

The Workday Data Senior Manager should be an expert with leading data conversion for large complex clients. This individual will assist the sales team with sales activities such as orals, estimations, and Statements of Work (SOW’s). This person works closely with Engagement Managers, Project Managers, Managing Consultants, and leads. This person will assist in identifying business needs, improving implementation processes and developing data migration strategies. 

Responsibilities: 

Project Oversight: 

  • Oversight responsibility for projects across the practice. 

  • Oversee and assist Engagement Managers and team members when needed to identify project needs, reduce risk and develop solutions and strategies. 

  • Ability to act as a Data Conversion Lead on Workday implementations. 

  • Ability to jump in and support projects without guidance. 

Sales Support: 

  • Support the RFP response and pursuit process for Consulting work. 

Team Leadership: 

  • Assist in the recruitment, development, and management of a diverse, remote team of consultants supporting Workday applications. 

  • Promote a team-oriented, challenging and innovative work environment. 

  • Lead Consultants to ensure consultants are adhering to the activities, processes and procedures outlined in Workday and Cognizant’s Cynergy Implementation Methodology. 

  • Drive team and individuals to achieve high customer satisfaction levels. 

  • Ability to establish immediate credibility with clients and within the company; can build consensus and achieve goals through influence. 

  • Ability to build trust-based relationships and identify and foster business development opportunities. 

  • Lead and contribute to one or more cross-functional initiatives aimed at enhancing current internal processes and methodologies. 

People Development: 

  • Perform role of mentor and coach. 

  • Advise management team on team members’ level of expertise and availability. 

  • Lead the end-to-end data conversion process for Workday implementations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure alignment with the client's objectives.

  • Perform data mapping and validation to ensure data accuracy and consistent data. 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve data conversion issues. 

  • Review estimates for sales opportunities. 

  • Review SOWs for language and accuracy. 

  • Attend Orals and prospect meetings. 

  • Manage utilization to targets.

Skills & ​Requirements: 

  • Possess 5+ years of Workday data conversion experience

  • Hands-on experience with data migration tools and techniques, such as iLoads, Migration Recipes, Object Transporter and Advanced Loads.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • Proven experience leading a virtual team for 3+ years. 

  • Required characteristics: fast learner, detail oriented, decisive, and enjoy fast paced work environments. 

  • Must work well within and across teams to get things accomplished.

  • Possess sales engagement experience estimating and presenting to prospects.
