We are looking for a standout Director of Tech Talent Acquisition to build our recruiting engine for all of EvenUp’s technical roles including ML, Data Science, Software Engineering, Product and Design. This is a high visibility role with unparalleled opportunity for impact at one of the fastest growing tech startups in the world. You will lead a talented team of recruiters, develop data-driven, methodical and creative approaches to optimize our hiring funnels, design global sourcing strategies to attract distinctive talent, articulate EvenUp’s unique career proposition for technical candidates, set hiring managers up for success, and design rigorous assessments that result in the highest quality hires.

What you'll do:

  • Lead EvenUp’s efforts to build one of the strongest technical teams in the world

  • Develop, lead and scale a best in class technical recruiting team

  • Align recruiting team resources with business needs, nimbly adjusting plans based on data, context and business goals

  • Act as One Team with other COEs like People Business Partners, Operations and Total Rewards to effectively solve People challenges and deliver the best user experience

  • Own the talent acquisition process from strategy to sourcing, assessments, closing and beyond

  • Drive key KPIs including hiring goal attainment, candidate passthrough rates, diverse pipelines, time to hire, candidate experience, hiring team experience and quality of hire

  • Enable the recruiting team to make a compelling and authentic case for why EvenUp is a top employer of choice for technical talent

  • Partner with hiring managers to design rigorous assessments that result in the highest quality hires

  • Ensure compliance with all regulations and promote the highest ethical standards

What we look for:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in talent acquisition or similar roles

  • Successful stints in hyper-growth environments

  • Experience leading, developing and scaling high performance recruiting teams

  • Able to attract and close technical talent, particularly in highly competitive roles like ML Engineer

  • Experience hiring in North America and beyond

  • Sophisticated understanding of recruiting KPIs with a track record of achieving measurable results

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills

  • Strong feedback and coaching skills, with consistent sharing and adoption of best practices

  • Low ego team player willing to jump in and perform any role to ensure success

  • Ownership mentality - you are always advancing excellence and acting in the best interests of the organization
