As a Packaging Sales Specialist with Reiser, you will be responsible for working with regional sales representatives to support the sales of packaging machines to food processing plants in a territory consisting of Minnesota, North Dakota, Wisconsin, Michigan and the Greater Chicago area. We are seeking aggressive, enthusiastic and determined professionals who can professionally represent our packaging solutions to new and existing customers.

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Provide  the Reiser sales team with technical support on packaging machines. 
  • Support  and communicate with sales team on all packaging calls with customers. 
  • Professionally represent our products to new and to existing customers. 
  • Continually build pipeline through cold-calling, networking and maintaining positive relationships; internally and externally. 
  • Share best sales practices with team. 
  • Be actively involved with sales industry associations and attend relevant packaging trade shows. 
  • Ensure documentation and reports are accurate, and are received on time. 
  • Help to facilitate quotations, product samples and deliveries. 
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of each packaging machine and their application in the market. 
  • Track  sales of packaging equipment in their territory to track growth and market penetration. 
  • Train  new sales personnel on packaging and what market each product are best suited. 
  • Work  with the Reiser Service Team on machine installations.  
  • Attend national and regional sales meetings and packaging trade shows. 
Requirements
  • Direct experience selling or providing technical support of packaging equipment or products (preferably in the meat/food/cheese industries). 
  • Strong knowledge of Overwrap, Thermoform, Lid Seal and Modified Atmosphere Packaging Applications.   
  • Understands importance of selling equipment with the added service component and working closely with service team. 
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize and multi-task. 
  • Comfortable communicating with people on the shop floor to presidents of companies. 
  • Ability to travel overnight roughly 70% during the week throughout Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota and the Greater Chicago area. Overnight travel will be less if based in Chicago.   
  • Undergraduate degree preferred but not required.  
  • Must reside anywhere in the regional territory, ideally within an hour radius of a major airport.
