Overview:
Printer Field Service Technician
Clearance: US Citizen
Location: National Capital Region (NCR)
Field Service Technicians provide local client facing services including operations, maintenance, and software integration support for BookMaster One and BookMaster Pro passport personalization printer platforms across Department of State Passport centers and agencies.
Responsibilities:
- Printer and platform condition and evaluation with adjustments and alignments as necessary
- Performing functional and quality checks of individual units that includes disassembly and assembly
- Cleaning and lubrication of individual components
- Documentation of maintenance services and delivery of malfunction reports
- Advisement of maintenance activities and issues to the Government
- Application of software upgrades and patches
- Adherence to a schedule for preventative maintenance
- Remediation of Service Now tickets associated with operations and maintenance service and activity tasks.
- Support for demonstrations and testing as required
- Printer and platform support during scheduled upgrades to customer network and applications and testing support for new books and machine optimizations
- Leading by example to learn and demonstrate best practices for the BookMaster Pro and BookMaster One workflows
- Maintaining sufficient consumables and parts inventory to support remedial and preventive maintenance requirements
Qualifications:
Required:
- US Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of State Security Clearance at the SECRET level
- Ability to travel for training, demonstrations and supplemental support (5% of the time)
Preferred:
- Experience working within Department of State Passport centers
- Customer facing technical service experience for complex products or systems
- Attentive to detail and responsive to often unpredictable demands and changing priorities
- Self-directed, independent and adaptable
- Innate mechanical ability and facility with tools
- Experience that demonstrates mastery in the operation of machines, instruments and equipment
- Positive and optimistic attitude with the ability to communicate succinctly and effectively
- Active SECRET clearance
The annual base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $100,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Integral Federal considers factors such as candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
