About this role

We are looking for a strong servant leader on the frontend to help support our passionate and growing engineering team. You would continue (and expand upon) our current efforts to improve code quality and engineering efficiency. You can expect to:

• Gather feedback from engineers to identify their challenges and bottlenecks
• Lead discussions, guiding the team to make decisions on architecture and best practices
• Formalize our standards through documentation and shared implementation
• Mentor and lead by example, sharing your knowledge of modern best practices in frontend development
• Make business-informed decisions on priority and level of investment
• Track progress on our overall engineering initiatives

This is an individual contributor role, but you would work across our product development teams, rotating as needed.

You could be a great fit if

• You have 12+ years of engineering experience
• You have 8+ years of frontend experience
• You have extensive experience with React
• You are a strong advocate for automated testing
• You have played a significant part in setting the standards for a growing engineering team
• Some of your super powers are bringing people together, encouraging them to express their viewpoints, and reaching consensus

Bonus

• Experience with our frontend stack (TypeScript, NextJS, Tailwind, React Query, React Testing Library, Playwright, shadcn)
• Experience with Chrome Extensions
• Startup experience (not required, but we build and move fast!)

Compensation

200k-240k USD base + equity

We consider several factors when determining compensation, including location, experience, and other job-related factors.
