Job Title: Senior Software Engineer
Salary: £68,202 -£75,780
Location: Edinburgh
Hours: Full-time
Working Pattern: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week currently, or 40% of our time, at our Edinburgh Office

What you’ll do
Writing modular, well-tested front-end applications that stay easy to maintain as our codebase and business scale. Your work has a big impact—it helps ensure our platform stays reliable and manageable, even as we grow.
Ensure our software aligns with existing frameworks, patterns, and practices across the broader engineering community, it really enhances consistency and efficiency. Your attention to this not only benefits our team but also helps us integrate more seamlessly with other departments.
We want you to consistently use the most effective methods in our industry. Sharing your knowledge could help solve complex business problems, especially when there's no clear precedent. It's important to ensure that any solutions you come up with are implemented effectively.

What you’ll need
Deep understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Typescript, and responsive web design, along with your knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services.
Deep understanding of Java, Sprint and Springboot, we do follow microservices based delivery which enable us to do fast paced delivery.
Deep understanding of React Frameworks and your hands-on experience with Micro Frontend Architecture and Module Federation really shines through.
Strong professional experience with React and state management libraries like Redux and React-Query.
Strong understanding of source code repositories tools like Git. This expertise has led to our team's smoother workflows and fewer merge conflicts.
Test automation experience, especially using tools like Jest, Testing Library, Cypress and Playwright.
Strong experience with build processes and release automation, including using DevOps Pipelines, Nexus, SonarQube, and AquaSec.
Experience working with Private/Public Cloud (GCP, Azure, and OpenShift).
Familiarity with development aiding tools like npm and webpack is really beneficial. It streamlines our workflow and makes the development process smoother.
