JOB SUMMARY:

Supports business processes through the management and maintenance of vendor

and product files. Provides Supplier and product information to the divisions and

other internal departments in a timely and accurate manner with emphasis on

product and supplier maintenance and analytically processing changes within system.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Manipulates and maintains Supplier data files and maintains product file data

to include all product attributes for active and discontinued products.

  • Analyzes and establishes new product file data by review and verification;

processes new data within departmental timeframe.

  • Evaluates and updates supplier and product file data, including specific product and vendor attributes.
  • Provides analytical support to internal customers concerning product and

vendor file discrepancies and exceptions.

  • Assists interdepartmental and field teammates with product/supplier/customer project issues.
  • Works collaboratively with suppliers to initiate EDI transaction sets.
  • Interfaces with other corporate EDI support functions to coordinate resolution

of EDI issues between Owens & Minor and suppliers.

  • Responsible for communication and maintenance of Vendor Product Information. Work directly with third part service provider to

          manage all product attribute information.

  • Works as administrator of product and vendor data into company systems.
  • Works with suppliers with cadence and maintenance of data under certain terms and conditions.
  • Responsible for product change and vendor changes in the OM network.
  • Responsible for updates and amendments to costing within the OM Network.

SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Assists with general supplier and product information.

2. Assists Supply Chain staff with projects, as necessary.

3. Assists with implementation of vendor and product programs.

4. Performs additional duties as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION & FORMAL TRAINING:

Through knowledge of a specialized or technical field such as cost or

general accounting, drafting, statistics, programming, time study,

electronics, electrical or chemical technology. Equal to a high school

diploma plus additional broad training equal to 2 years' college.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

At least one year (up to and including) three years.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

A. Ability to think analytically.

B. Ability to review and audit statistical information.

C. Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.

D. Skill in using automated and manual equipment.

E. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
