Project: IBM Cognos Reporting System Update
Location: Ohio Based candidates preferred; remote may be considered

Our Digital Finance Accounting Team is seeking an experienced Financial Systems Analyst to support a large-scale project . This role requires a detail-oriented professional with expertise in data analytics, reporting, and testing. The selected candidate will be responsible for updating existing IBM Cognos reports, executing and validating unit testing on report tables, and collaborating closely with end users to ensure that system enhancements meet business requirements and expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Digital Accounting and Financial Operations team with the implementation of project deliverables by updating existing IBM Cognos reports.
• Conduct and validate unit testing on report tables to confirm data accuracy and functionality.
• Update various reports in the IBM Cognos reporting tool as part of a larger system improvement project.
• Migrate changes to the production environment following successful user validation.
• Manage and action tickets submitted by the Digital Accounting and Financial Operations team related to modified reports.
• Support end-users by ensuring enhancements are functioning as expected and troubleshooting as necessary.
• Conduct unit testing to verify that orders populate accurately in the data model.
• Log tickets with the project team if data discrepancies arise and work collaboratively with the Digital Financial Systems team to resolve these issues.
• Collaborate with business users to ensure reports meet intended functionality and performance standards.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Accounting and/or data analytics experience, ideally within financial operations.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with IBM Cognos or other report-building tools (Tableau, MicroStrategy, MS Access) within a relational database environment (Oracle, SQL).
• Strong SQL skills for data querying and manipulation.
• Solid understanding of user experience testing, data validation, and quality assurance processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with business users and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with excellent attention to detail.
