Assists with field and laboratory research studying coyote population demographics and coyote responses to landscape characteristics.  Activities include radiotracking otters, coyotes and other wildlife with radiocollars, livetraping mesocarnivores, and database management.  Links existing coyote telemetry data to GIS coverages to assess demographic patterns in relation to land use, and conducts spatio-temporal analyses to determine disease dynamics within the coyote population.  Also assists with equipment and vehicle maintenance.  Work will be largely conducted at the Max McGraw Wildlife Foundation and surrounding areas in the larger Chicago metropolitan area. 

Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in wildlife, zoology, ecology, or related discipline or equivalent combination of education/experience and 1-2 years of relevant experience. Experience in mammalian ecology, population biology, coyote biology, or quantitative/spatial analyses.

The salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limit to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
