Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting a Business Analyst in Washington DC.

This position is fully remote. We are not looking for Information Technology experience.

This position will support the Department of Energy Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED). OCED is a multi-technology office responsible for overseeing more than $20B of investment in large scale demonstrations in emerging technologies such as clean hydrogen, carbon capture, advanced nuclear reactors, grid-scale energy storage, industrial emissions reductions as well as demonstrations in rural and socioeconomically disadvantaged regions. We are looking for individuals with a range of skills and interest in large-scale clean energy demonstration projects, particularly in renewable systems, carbon capture and removal, hydrogen, and nuclear energy technologies.

• The Business Analyst gathers and organizes information about the problems to be solved or the procedures to be improved.
• Interviews personnel and conducts onsite observations to determine the methods, equipment’s, and personnel’s that will be needed.
• Analyzes financial and other data including, revenue, expenditure, and employment reports.
• Develops solutions or alternative practices.
• Work with spreadsheets.
• Recommends new systems, procedures, and/or organizational changes.
• Make recommendations to management through presentations and/or written reports.
• Confers with managers to ensure changes are working.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related field. (note this is not an Information Technology position).
• 0 to 5 years of experience desired.
• Experience in renewable anergy / government administration desired.
• Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required.
