We are seeking a Senior Product Designer with a passion for finding solutions that allow customers to intuitively use our products. You’ll focus on UI/UX design, and on what constitutes a great user experience—then you’ll work with teams across Athennian to research, design, and execute products that influence the entire industry. You’ll be heavily involved in user research and user testing, so it’s essential that you’re able to effectively collaborate with others, as well as communicate clearly with team members of diverse backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities:Create impactful user experiences by translating complex challenges into intuitive, end-to-end solutions that enhance our users’ journeyDrive ideas from concept to launch by applying design skills across all stages - problem definition, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, specifications, and visual designsCollaborate effectively with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to influence product strategy and deliver solutions that align with business goals, technical requirements, and user needsCommunicate design decisions clearly, presenting insights and recommendations across teams to ensure alignment and understanding of design choicesIncorporate data and feedback into design workflows, leveraging both qualitative insights and quantitative data to refine and elevate user experiencesWork independently and efficiently to meet project timelines, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality outcomesPartner closely with development to ensure designs are executed with precision and consistency throughout the implementation processEnhance design processes and standards by actively contributing to the advancement of our design practices, tools, and knowledge baseQualifications:Minimum 5 years of experience in product design in user facing SaaS platformsA proven track record in senior design positions, working across all stages of product development from early-stage discovery to implementationFluency with design and collaboration tools (e.g. Figma, Sketch, InVision)Deep empathy for the users that you design for, and a proven ability to orient others around the needs and pain points of those usersConfidence and communication skills to effectively convey and defend the rationale behind your design decisions to a variety of stakeholdersAbility to collect and interpret both qualitative and quantitative feedback to make data-driven decisionsA portfolio showcasing your proven ability to deliver impactful, user-centered solutions that resonate with and delight usersPassion for design; not satisfied with the status quo and always thinking of ways to improveCommitment to creating systems around workflows that are beneficial for the teamLocation
This is a remote role with a preference for candidates based in Toronto, ON as the role may involve occasional on-site meetings or team events
