Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Product Analyst to join our growing team at Pearson. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data and a drive to use it to inform and drive product decisions. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail, as well as strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
The Senior Product Analyst will take charge and help shape the future of our software products. The Senior Product Analyst will be responsible for delivering high quality insights and detailed analysis, contributing to our success and ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analysis of consumer behavior and product performance to inform product strategy and decision-making.
- Collaborate with product management and cross-functional teams to identify key metrics and success criteria for new product launches and feature releases.
- Design and implement experiments to test hypotheses and validate product assumptions.
- Monitor product performance and recommend improvements to increase conversion and retention.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key product metrics.
- Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders and make data-driven recommendations.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in product analytics.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical or analytical field (e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science)
- Strong experience as a product analyst or similar role for software companies/ products
- Strong experience in SQL and Python
- Experience in data visualization and reporting tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker, PowerBI)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to turn data into actionable insights
- Experience with A/B testing and other experimentation methods
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques and tools is a plus (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hadoop)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
- Evident fluency in English, being confident in speaking, reading and writing communication
