We are looking for a Data Integration Engineer to support our client based in Tallahassee, Florida.

US BASED CANDIDATES ONLY.  

This is an onsite position in Tallahassee, FL.

The Opportunity

Our client's remediation team is dedicated to re-engineering and modernizing core financial systems, and performing various financial planning, analysis, and management functions. These assets are impacted by the implementation of a new state accounting system, requiring extensive remediation. This multiyear project aims to transition to a modern financial management solution, including the adoption of standardized business processes, a new chart of accounts, and the redevelopment of interfaces to the statewide accounting system. We are seeking a talented  Data Integration Engineer to join our client's team. This role is critical in analyzing current integrations, creating migration plans, and executing these migrations using Informatica. You will also mentor staff on leveraging Informatica for future data integrations, ensuring smooth transitions and compliance with new financial data requirements.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyze current financial data interfaces impacted by the Florida PALM integration and lead the migration to Informatica.
  • Design and implement integration solutions with a focus on data accuracy, regulatory compliance, and performance.
  • Develop, test, and deploy data pipelines that enhance financial data processing capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define interface requirements, testing plans, and project timelines.
  • Provide mentoring and training to FDOT staff on Informatica tools, data integration practices, and compliance protocols.
  • Create technical documentation, including data mappings, integration plans, and interface specifications.
  • Participate in Agile project meetings, including SCRUM and sprint reviews, to ensure alignment with project goals.

Compensation and Term 

This opportunity is for a full-time, contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $140,000 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.

Qualifications you need

A successful Data Integration Engineer has the following experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems. Equivalent work experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis.
  • Data Integration experience building ETL/ELT data pipelines with IICS services and Strong relational database SQL analysis knowledge with DB2 on ZOS, SQL Server, Azure SQL, Snowflake Data Cloud. Strong Data Integration experience with Power Exchange Connectors for ZOS in Informatica Cloud CDI.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of Informatica Cloud Data Integration experience. 
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience working with Informatica Cloud data integration services like Cloud Data Integration, Mass Ingestion, App Integration, Data Quality and Cloud Data Governance Catalog.
  • A minimum of three (3)  years of implementing Cloud Data Warehouse, Data Lakehouse architectures with Snowflake Data Cloud. 
  • Strong knowledge of data integration tools, including Informatica Cloud CDI and Microsoft SSIS.
  • Experience with SQL (DB2, SQL Server, Snowflake) and integration platforms.
  • Familiarity with cloud data architectures, data governance, and financial data standards.
  • Preferred Certifications: Informatica Cloud CDI, Snowflake Data Cloud Certification.
