About the role

As a Developer Experience Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in enhancing the productivity, efficiency, and satisfaction of our engineering teams. You’ll design, implement, and refine tools, documentation, and processes that improve the daily workflows of our developers.

What kind of tech stack do we use?

We use various tools to craft our products. On the backend, you can find NodeJS, PHP, MySQL, Apache Spark, Snowflake, and also Scala, Go, MongoDB, Kinesis. We use Vue.js, Pinia, and Vanilla JS on the frontend when needed. Everything runs on the AWS/ECS cloud. We also love CI/CD, IaC and do daily deployments to ensure your contributions see the light of day as soon as the tests are green and the QA team is happy.

Your responsibilities:

  • Tool Development: Design, contribute and maintain codebase that is shared between our two products (mostly using Typescript and PHP).
  • Tool Optimization: Create, enhance, and maintain tools that improve developer workflows, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing.
  • Developer Advocacy: Establish design patterns and best practices for building new product features in a scalable and reliable way. Verify and help developers apply those patterns and participate in the early stages of feature design when needed.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with infrastructure and feature engineering teams to ensure smooth integration of tools and to drive continuous improvement.
  • Performance Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in the development process and implement solutions to enhance speed and efficiency.
  • AI enhanced tooling: You'll have opportunities to explore the potential of AI-driven enhancements to our tools and workflows. Your insights will be invaluable in helping us assess and integrate these technologies thoughtfully and effectively.

You will thrive in this position if you have: 

  • At least 3 years of experience in programming and following modern software development processes. 
  • Experience with languages such as TypeScript, PHP, Scala, Python, Ruby, Golang, etc.
  • Experience with continuous integration tools such as Git, CI/CD platforms (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCI).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and containerization tools (e.g., Docker).
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of tackling complex technical challenges.
  • Strong written and spoken English.
