SUMMARY OF DUTIES

The Merit Oncology product portfolio includes the SCOUT wire-free breast lesion localisation solution. SCOUT uses innovative RADAR technology to accurately detect and locate non-palpable breast lesions and lymph nodes. The jobholder is primarily responsible for selling the full range of Merit Oncology products for the French territory in a professional manner to hospitals and related healthcare professionals in radiology and surgery, as well as for the management of quality and consistency of product and service delivery. The position builds upon strong ethical business relationships with customers to ensure usage of our products and to gain greater market share through evidence-based selling.

Specific Responsibilities:
Customer Management
  • Achieve agreed targets, focused on sales growth.
  • Present and sell the Merit Oncology Product Portfolio and services to potential and existing customers in France and the MAGREB region.
  • Support and advise the clinicians on the correct use of the Merit Oncology Products
  • Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts in line with company guidelines.
  • Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up.
  • Develop and implement special sales activities to accelerate sales.
  • Identify and resolve customer concerns

Business Development
  • Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
  • Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the contacts to be made.
  • Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
  • Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contracted services.
  • Working in the hospital environment converting both breast surgeons and breast radiologists to adopt Merit technology.
  • Taking a wide organisational view of selling and managing accounts, with sufficient knowledge of competitors and their products

Support & Training
  • Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
  • Full adoption and utilisation of company CRM to manage opportunity pipeline
  • Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales.
  • Educating and training Merit Distribution Partners (where applicable) Clinicians and Hospital Staff, as well as providing verbal technical support and organising regular in-service training, and assisting in National/International training requirements

Deliverables and Performance Indicators
Achievement and exceeding of sales targets, implementation of sales plan and growing existing business as well as managing customer relations at all levels in your territory of France and MAGREB region
  • Developing excellent levels of product knowledge and awareness of environmental changes
  • Effectively manage customer accounts.
  • Enlarge customer base in assigned territory
  • Complete all administrative tasks as per Line Manager requirements.
  • Attend any scheduled meetings and calls
  • Attend and facilitate congresses, workshops and any required marketing function

Experience/Personal Profile:
  • Proven ability in Sales and in growing a business generally.
  • Natural ability to spot business opportunities and to persuade and influence others.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to establish good working relationships with a wide range of customers.
  • Advanced presentation and negotiation skills. Maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.
  • Territory planning and forecasting experience essential.
  • Used to work independently with a high level of time management skills
  • Good IT skills, including all Microsoft packages and proficiency in using modern multi-media tools.
  • Full, clean driving licence
  • Living in or near the Paris area
  • Educated to degree level (previous sales experience taken into consideration)
  • Previous experience of selling into healthcare, ideally with demonstrated track record of sales success in healthcare / women’s health / breast health.
  • Sales driven, business minded and with an entrepreneurial spirit.
