A Day in the Life
This role is responsible for maximizing Medtronic’s revenue growth opportunities by leveraging the Medtronic portfolio & conversion opportunities. Is an ASC/OBL business engagement expert and leverages marketing programs and business tools.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for a deep understanding of the alternative sites market and is a liaison to the field
- Subscribes and studies market news and trends
- Understands and works with reimbursement specialists
- Engages with ASC/OBL administrative and physician leaders representing MDT as one
- Subscribes and studies market news and trends
- Develops, communicates, and implements business plans to achieve strategic target business results.
- Collaborates with OU’s to gain commitments, develop pricing & contract strategy
- Engages and aligns with Enterprise Account Directors to maximize IDN ASC opportunities.
- Engage assigned ASC management companies and identify opportunities for collaboration and growth.
- Leverages and executes on MDT large capital deals, Customer Choice programs, etc.
- Presents ProFormas, quarterly business opportunities and rebate achievements.
- Identifies opportunities and executes on disruptive model opportunities.
- Focused on the business of ASC/OBL, not clinical.
- Streamlines communication, representing as the one point of contact as an astute business partner in this space.
- Collaborate with Medtronic operating units (OU’s) by providing education on ASC and OBL sites of service, identify potential areas of partnership and deploy “play big” strategies.
Develop scalable approaches that facilitate multiple operating units working together for one customer alongside marketing, reimbursement, and contracting personnel.
Travel required for this role will be up to 25%.

Problems and issues faced are complex, difficult and undefined, and require detailed information gathering, analysis and investigation to understand the problem.
Makes moderate to significant improvements of processes, policies and / or products to enhance performance in alternative site of service.
Communication and Influence: Communicates with internal and external customers and vendors regarding ongoing operations.
Ability to influence through a matrixed organization.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant sales experience or Advanced Degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant sales and leadership experience
Nice To Have (Preferred Qualifications)
- Requires practical sales, business development, negotiation skills, and influence management.
- Experience in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics for one or more products.
- Knowledge of the alternative site space (ASC/OBLs)
- Typically has advanced knowledge and skills within the sales discipline – example Medtronic Neurovascular and/or Cardiovascular operating units

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):154,000
This position is eligible for an annual long-term incentive plan.
In addition to Base Salary, this position is eligible for a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP), which provides the opportunity to earn significant incentive compensation for achieving or exceeding your goals.
