The Role
Primarily responsible for the initial monitoring and analysis of security events. This role involves 24x7 monitoring of security alerts, performing initial triage, and escalating incidents, as necessary. The analyst will work closely with other team members to ensure effective security event monitoring and response.

This is a work from home position within the U.S.
The Main Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor the alert queues and triage initial security alerts.
- Perform real-time monitoring, alert identification, and notification of suspected security incidents.
- Collect data and context necessary to escalate incidents to senior tiers if incident can not be resolved at Tier 1 level.
- Provide input to the incident response process, report creation, and lessons learned for incident stakeholders.
- Attend customer meetings as part of incident response and incident handling.
- Collaborate with Tier 2 and Tier 3 by completing delegated tasks intended to enhance customer security monitoring and response actions.
- Contribute to incident response efforts to identify, investigate, mitigate, and respond to security events and incidents during live incidents, red team incidents, purple team exercises, or tabletop exercises within the customer’s environment.
- Contribute to professional recommendations to incident response leadership in incident remediation.
- Collaborate with technical and business SMEs, including internal leadership, to provide technical assistance in identifying gaps to enhance security monitoring and response actions.
- Create and escalate tickets, as necessary.
- Maintain 24x7 schedule availability.
What We Look For In a Candidate
Fully seasoned with typically 5+ years professional experience with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and experience or 2-3 years with a Master's Degree.
Compensation
The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.
Location Based Pay Ranges
$63980 - $85300 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD.
$67340 - $89780 in these states: AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY.
$70710 - $94270 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.
$74070 - $98760 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.
